Fourteen-year-old Kouichi Hayase’s life has always been a mediocre one, if not dismal. However, those days of being bullied by classmates and escaping to a fantasy of being a hero are put to an end when a certain “accident” bestows on him a girl and a gigantic humanoid robot called “LINEBARREL”.
Fuyumi Ono and Ryu Fujisaki have ended their Shiki horror manga in the July issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine, which was released on Friday. Ono began writing the original Shiki novels in 1998, and Fujisaki began adapting the story in manga form in December 2007. The series will have a total of 11 volumes. Approximately 2.2 million copies of the manga have been printed.
